Nope! Most of our classes are beginner-friendly. If you’ve never touched clay before, you’re in the right place. We also offer classes for returning students looking to grow their skills.

Wear comfortable, washable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Closed-toe shoes are required. Clay washes out, but we still recommend dressing casually. Tie back long hair and loose clothes and leave all arm candy (watches, bracelets, rings, etc.) at home.

Open Studio is for students who have already taken a class with us and can work independently. It’s self-guided studio time, not instruction. If you’re new, we require starting with an 8-week class first, to establish studio protocols.

All classes and workshops include:

  • Clay
  • Tools
  • Glazes
  • Aprons
  • Firings for class projects
  • Instruction during class time

You just show up ready to get your hands dirty.

It depends on the class and your pace. Our focus is learning, experimenting, and developing skills rather than mass production. Quality over quantity always.

No. However, we schedule open studio Sundays noon-2pm as a time for visitors to drop in, tour the studio and check us out! Creating is reserved for enrolled students, workshops, and approved Open Studio participants.

Clay takes time. Pieces usually go through drying, bisque firing, glazing, and glaze firing. Pickup is typically 4-6 weeks after your final class or workshop. We’ll email you when work is ready.

8-week class students have the opportunity to drop in during other 8-week classes that week to hear the same lesson or to gain extra practice. Open studio hours included with classes can also be used for practice time. Missed classes are not refundable.

Due to the nature of small class sizes and prep involved, all sales are final. If you’re unsure which option is right for you, reach out before booking.

No. We use specific clay bodies and glazes to keep the studio safe and kilns running smoothly. Outside materials are not allowed.
