This engaging course is perfect for teens who want to explore their artistic potential, learn new skills, and create unique ceramic pieces in a fun and supportive environment. Each 1-hour-and-15-minute session blends foundational techniques with creative expression, ensuring every teen feels inspired and confident in their abilities. From shaping clay to glazing their masterpieces, students will learn the entire process of bringing their ideas to life. What to Expect: Week 1: Introduction to the studio and pottery basics. Teens will start their first project, exploring clay’s versatility and learning essential hand-building techniques. Week 2: Focus on creating and refining their pieces. This session emphasizes developing individual style and experimenting with form. Week 3: Glazing day! Students will add color and design to their work, personalizing their creations with vibrant finishes. Week 4: Celebrate their creativity! Parents are invited to the final class to pick up their teen’s work and participate in a special art showcase where students proudly present their creations. All-Inclusive Experience: We provide everything needed—clay, tools, glazes, and firing—so students can focus on their creativity. Personalized Instruction: Small class sizes allow our expert instructors to offer one-on-one guidance to support every student’s growth. Celebratory Finale: The final session is a proud moment for students to share their work with family and celebrate their progress. Molly Sanyour Ceramics Studio Kids' Class Policies Class Times Classes begin promptly; please do not arrive early or stay late as we have limited time and space. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate class rescheduling at this time, so please ensure your child can attend all four weeks before signing up. Class Structure Our program guides students through creative exploration while teaching techniques and methods. Week 1 & 2: Creating projects with clay. Week 3: Glazing and finishing pieces. Week 4: Pick-Up Party – Parents/guardians join for a celebration where kids showcase their creations. Materials All clay, tools, and glazes are provided. Special project requests are welcome—please contact us to discuss. What to Wear For the best success, students should: Wear comfortable clothes they don’t mind getting messy. Tie back long hair. Avoid wearing jewelry on hands or wrists. Studio Rules Students are expected to: Respect themselves, the studio, materials, classmates, and teachers. Follow all safety and behavior guidelines to ensure a positive and safe environment. Our goal is to make learning fun and encourage creative exploration!
