Looking for a fun and unique night out? Whether you're planning a date night, a girls' night, or a solo creative escape, The Clay Experience is the perfect way to unwind, get creative, and meet other like-minded people. This hands-on workshop is designed for beginners and enthusiasts alike, inviting you to explore the art of ceramics in a welcoming and inspiring space. Discover the joy of working with clay as you learn the basics of hand-building and wheel throwing. From pinching and coiling to creating forms on the pottery wheel, you’ll get a taste of what it’s like to mold, shape, and bring your ideas to life. Whether you're here to explore your artistic side, try something new, or simply have fun, this class is the perfect starting point. By the end of the workshop, we hope you’ll be excited to sign up for a class or membership to further your learning! After all, clay requires lots of hours of practice to really get the hang of it. Workshop Curriculum: 15 Minutes: Welcome & Introduction 15 Minutes: Hand-Building Demo 10 Minutes: Wheel Throwing Demo 10 Minutes: Transition to Your Project (choose your project: wheel throwing or hand-building) 50 Minutes: Create Your Piece (with one-on-one guidance) 20 Minutes: Clean-Up & Next Steps (select glaze, enter a piece for firing) What’s Included: Clay, tools, apron, and instruction for the entire experience One-on-one guidance from an experienced instructor Firing costs (bisque firing and glazing) A finished, fired piece, ready to pick up within a few weeks, to cherish forever!
Cancellation Policy
Molly Sanyour Ceramics Studio One-Time Workshop Policies 1. Registration and Payment Pre-registration is Required: All participants must register online through our website or in person at the studio prior to the workshop. Walk-ins are not guaranteed a spot. Payment Policy: Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure your spot. 2. Workshop Expectations Arrival: Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and settle before the workshop begins. Late arrivals may miss essential safety and instructional information. Materials Provided: All tools, clay, and aprons will be supplied. Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting messy. Project Pickup: Finished pieces will be bisque-fired, glazed, and re-fired by our staff. Work will be ready for pick up at the studio about 3-4 weeks after your workshop during our open studio hours, Sundays 10am-noon. Please notify the studio if alternative methods are needed. 3. Cancellations and Refunds Cancellations by Participant: Cancellations made 48 hours prior to the workshop will receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations within 48 hours. Cancellations by Studio: In the event of cancellation by the studio due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule. 4. Studio Policies Respect the Space: Participants must use equipment and materials responsibly, clean their workspace, and follow instructor guidance at all times. Health and Safety: Closed-toe shoes, tied-back hair, and removal of jewelry are required. Please follow all health and safety guidelines provided during the workshop. Behavior: We foster a positive and respectful community. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the workshop without refund. 5. Liability Participation in the workshop is at your own risk. Molly Sanyour Ceramics Studio is not responsible for injuries, loss, or damage to personal property during your visit. 6. Future Opportunities Continued Learning: We encourage workshop participants to explore our ongoing classes and memberships for a deeper dive into ceramics. Information about next steps will be provided at the end of your workshop. 7. Photography and Recordings By participating in our classes, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded during your time in the studio. These materials may be used for marketing, education, social media, and promotional purposes.
