Service Description

Introduce your child to the exciting world of pottery with our engaging 4-week pottery class designed specifically for ages 8-12. This class is the perfect creative outlet for young artists to explore their imaginations, learn foundational skills, and create unique works of art they’ll treasure forever. Each 1-hour session is packed with hands-on learning, ensuring kids stay inspired and excited to work with clay. Guided by expert instructors, students will explore various techniques like hand-building and glazing while gaining confidence in their artistic abilities. What to Expect: Week 1: Get acquainted with the studio and learn the basics of pottery! Kids will start their first project, discovering how to pinch, shape, and form clay into creative pieces. Week 2: Continue building and refining their projects. This session focuses on honing techniques and expressing individual creativity. Week 3: Bring their pieces to life with vibrant glazes. Students will learn how to add color and design, personalizing their work in exciting ways. Week 4: Celebrate their hard work! Parents are invited to the final class to pick up finished pieces and join in a special art celebration. Kids will proudly showcase their creations as the session concludes. All-Inclusive: We provide everything needed—clay, tools, glazes, and expert instruction. Creative Confidence: Kids gain a sense of accomplishment as they see their ideas take shape and come to life. Celebratory Finale: The final week is a chance to celebrate with family, recognize achievements, and take home keepsakes. Molly Sanyour Ceramics Studio Kids' Class Policies Class Times Classes begin promptly; please do not arrive early or stay late as we have limited time and space. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate class rescheduling at this time, so please ensure your child can attend all four weeks before signing up. Class Structure Our program guides students through creative exploration while teaching techniques and methods. Week 1 & 2: Creating projects with clay. Week 3: Glazing and finishing pieces. Week 4: Pick-Up Party – Parents/guardians join for a celebration where kids showcase their creations. Materials All clay, tools, and glazes are provided. Special project requests are welcome—please contact us to discuss. What to Wear For the best success, students should: Wear comfortable clothes they don’t mind getting messy. Tie back long hair. Avoid wearing jewelry on hands or wrists. Studio Rules Students are expected to: Respect themselves, the studio, materials, classmates, and teachers. Follow all safety and behavior guidelines to ensure a positive and safe environment. Our goal is to make learning fun and encourage creative exploration!
