A solid understanding of the basics of clay, including hand-building, wheel throwing, trimming, glazing, and recycling clay.

Community Studio Policy

At our studio, kindness and respect are non-negotiable. Be nice to others, take care of the space, and show up as your best self—no exceptions!

Willingness to Help Out

Pottery is a team sport, especially in a community studio! All hands are always on deck when it comes to keeping things clean and organized. Members should be willing to help around the studio as needed. Members are expected to embody and promote our creative, supportive, encouraging, welcoming, and fun vibes! Respect for oneself, others, and the studio—including tools and materials—is a must.

Tools and Materials

Members at all levels are expected to provide their own basic tools. Other studio tools, such as the slab roller and extruder, are available for everyone to enjoy! This is a shared space; production pottery is not supported. Additional clay may be purchased through the studio. The cost of clay covers glazes and firing fees.  No outside clay or glazes are allowed.
