March 18, 2021: Live demonstration, during the virtual NCECA (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts) conference of how to use a giffin grip to trim with a chuck!
January-MAy 2021: Opened the 3rd session of the "Throwing with Molly" membership account (@throwingwithmolly)
Sharing clay knowledge and building community, this was the third wave of reopening the membership!
August 2019: Taught Workshops In Los angeles
I traveled to Good Dirt LA and Members Only LA to teach a few workshops: "Throwing Big" "Covered Dish Set" and even a fun birthday party!

June 2019: Attended AndrÉa Keys Connel's "buliding big with a small kiln" workshop at Arrowmont
February 2019: Taught a workshop at Mud Mamas Studio in Hickory, North Caroling
It was such a treat to be invited out to Mud Mamas, by their sweet owner, Dana for a weekend of workshops! We talked about colored clay, throwing bigger and various other topics!
November 2018: attended "the business of clay" workshop at clay by the bay in san francisco, California
To help push women in clay forward, Clay By the Bay studio hosted a weekend long workshop with women from all over the world, I was lucky and honored to be included in the group! (The air quality was so poor from the fires we had to wear the masks.)
July 2018: Attended welding workshops with David kimball anderson and Alicia Eggert at the anderson ranch arts center in snowmass, colorado
Wanting to expand my skills, I took two back to back workshops with different instructors learning the basics of welding and even how to use a CNC Plasma cutter. Below are some highlights from the experience:
Attended NCECA 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
My head wanted to explode from all of the new information and inspirations gained again at NCECA 2018, it was awesome! And it was so fun to meet some old and new clay friends like Joanna Gregnani from Objects Arsenal, Sean Forest Roberts and Valeri Aleksandrov of Forest Ceramic Co., Lindsay Augustine of Ware Clay, Amy Chaplin of Amy Baynum Chaplin and Curt Hammerly of Hammerly Ceramics, seen below!
January 2018: Student websites
My high school students finish each semester by presenting their websites to the class. Each student is responsible for taking pictures, videos and building their website from scratch to show all that they have accomplished over the semster. October 2017: First episode launched of "Throwing with Molly"
"Throwing with Molly" is a live web show on Instagram where demonstrations are given, questions are answered and a lot of fun is had! July 2014: Took a graduate Level Ceramics class through Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) with David Camden
Studied and explored wheel throwing techniques, sculpture, raku, saggar and soda firing.
2006-2014: Taught k-5 Art at Glen Lea Elementary, a Title 1 school iN Richmond, Virginia
Wrote and was awarded the 2014 HEF Grant for Glen Lea to receive a new kiln and all of the clay supplies we could dream of!
2005: Graduated from James Madison University (JMU) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics and a K-12 visual arts teaching License
