Clay Explorers: Ceramics for Kids!

Take your ceramics adventure to the next level in this fun and creative 4-week class designed for kids ages 8 and up who are ready to explore exciting new possibilities with clay.

These classes are perfect for young artists want to learn the basics of working with clay and want to grow to feel confident with fundamental techniques.

Choose Your Clayventure

Kids’ Pottery Class (Ages 8-12)

 This fun and engaging 4-week pottery class is perfect for creative kids looking for an after-school activity that sparks their imagination. Designed for ages 8-12, each 1-hour session is filled with hands-on learning, allowing young artists to express themselves and develop a love for creating with clay.

Teen Pottery Class (Ages 13+)

This creative and dynamic 4-week pottery course is perfect for teens aged 13+ who are ready to explore and refine their skills in ceramics. Each week, the class will meet for 1 hour and 15 minutes to work on their projects, learn new techniques, and express their individuality through clay.

What to Expect

  • Personalized instruction designed to spark creativity and help young artists build confidence in their pottery skills, whether they are just starting out or looking to enhance their techniques.

  • Access to a brand-new, state-of-the-art studio with top-quality equipment, including electric kilns, wheels, slab rollers, and extruders.

  • With a limited number of students per class, each child or teen will receive plenty of individualized attention and guidance as the instructor hops around to support everyone.

  • All clay, glazes, and tools are provided, so students can focus entirely on their creative process without needing to bring anything from home

  • Students will connect with other creative kids or teens in a welcoming and encouraging environment, fostering collaboration and inspiration throughout the class.

  • Celebrate your child’s creativity at the end-of-class party! Family and friends are invited to a special studio art show to honor their artistic journey and achievements.

Week 1

Introduction to pottery and starting projects.

Week 2

 Creating and finishing projects.

Week 3 

Glazing and finishing touches.

Week 4

End-of-class celebration with parent/guardian invitation to pick up work and celebrate, plus clean-out of shelf space.
